The form is made of Geodeke concrete form tubing (I knew one day that extra piece from my home-made Dob would come in handy).  It is placed about one foot into the ground for stability.  Landscaping timbers and two-by-fours serve as additional support.  Never underestimate the potential energy of wet concrete!  To the right sits the threaded rebar to act as anchors for the wedge plate.  Leveling is not super important at this point, but I didn't want it to look like a Three Stooges job.
