MOSAIC

Celestron Fastar 8 at f/1.95, PixCel 237.  This is a composite image created in Adobe Photoshop.  It consists of nine 300 second exposures (each a combination of five 60 second images Track and Accumulate), using the AP900 with PEM correction engaged.  Unguided at -17.25 degrees Celsius.  Although it was relatively easy to obtain the separate files needed for this mosaic, the post processing and assembly took well over seven hours.  The field of view is approximately 1.5 degrees by 2 degrees.  I found that it was virtually impossible to completely eliminate the seams between images.

Here's a copy of the raw mosaic file.  Arrrrgg!
