"Other than early in the cold morning, catching these insects on film is nearly impossible. I found the only way is to study the habits of the dragonfly. I learned, after an hour or so of observation, a single dragon fly would visit this perch every five minute or so, land, and project his wings forward. He would stay this way, perfectly still, for only a few seconds before flying off again. A half second was all I needed!"
