THE TRIFID NEBULA
(M20/NGC 6514, B 85)

Celestron Fastar 8 at prime focus f/1.95, PixCel 237.  Six image integration of thirty seconds each, unguided at -5 degrees Celsius. Right hand image post processed with CCDOPS v3.78, log scaled and sharpened.  In this image of the Trifid Nebula, one can easily see the dark nebula, B 85, trisecting the cloud.  This is what gives the object its name.
